About

Woolhaus produces sweaters knit from local, natural, wool that benefits pasture and climate.

We started Woolhaus because we believe in the principles of a Fiber Shed: A regional textile community that enlivens connection and ownership of textile processes that build soil carbon stocks on the working landscapes on which they depend, while directly enhancing the strength of local economies.

Our wool is cultivated from grass-fed sheep raised on pasture that is managed in a way that draws down carbon from the atmosphere into the soil where sheep graze. Wool is shorn, cleaned, carded, spun, dyed, and knit in New England into fully-traceable, regional, regenerative knitwear.
